Course Outline

The home-study course consists of 10 modules, covering each of the major reservation systems: Amadeus, Galileo and Sabre. The following general topics are included:

• Encoding and decoding • Displaying and interpreting flight availability • Selling flight segments • Building passenger name records (PNRs) • Retrieving, displaying, and modifying PNRs • Supplemental data fields • Fare displays and rules • Pricing, and ticketing • Seat assignments • Client profiles • Reference information • Hotel bookings • Car rentals

Each e-learning module consists of three parts: Lessons, Application Exercises and Self-review Tests. A pagemark function enables you to return automatically to the last page that you accessed.

There are no prerequisites, other than a basic knowledge of English.

Technical Requirements:

The courses offered by Edutour are accessed from the internet and then downloaded to the user's computer. The minimum technical requirements are:

• Pentium processor or
  equivalent with 256MB of RAM
• Internet Connection
• Microsoft Windows (98 or
  higher)
•Internet Explorer 5.x or higher
